INI file type editors security

It is important that while normal users need read rights, that should not have rights to write, delete or replace files in the MonTel Application Directory, where the PABX.INI file is stored. Equally it is important that the MonTel system administrator does have read and wrote access so that they can modify user information.

A MonTelINI file type editor also checks that the current user has MonTel Administration rights. If the current user does not have these rights or does not exist the the following message is displayed.

Security Access Denied

In the event you need to change that MonTel administration rights you may need to edit the PABX.INI file with NOTEPAD manually, and add AdministratorOn (with a preceding comma) to the appropriate user entry. Naturally this can only be done if you have rights to the file. For this reason normal users (meaning non MonTel Administrators) should only be given read and file scan rights to the folder than contains the INI file editor. MonTel Administrators will need read and write rights.
