Edit a general section

The general sections are those sections that most closely resemble the real format of the PABX.INI file, and are most of the tabs shown below, except for [Groups], [Departments], Header in [Users], [Users] and Show INI file changes.

The program section is a good example, as it shows a number of entries, and various control styles.

MonTel 'General' controls.

Combo Box

Combo Box for Numbers only

(In this style you can select a value with hints provided, and the hints are then removed when you move to another control)

Spin or Up down control

(In this style the numbers should be in a range. Use the spin control on the right to cycle through this range.)

Check boxes

(Set to 'default', 1 and 0 respectively.)

A normal edit box

If you leave a control blank, or it is blank in the exiting INI file, then it will be displayed "greyed out". Leaving controls blank will mean that they are not recorded in the PABX.INI file when you save it, and MonTel will use the default value. This is not such a bad idea, as it will save a small amount of time when you first start Montel.

To leave a check box blank, cycle through the clicks until the box has an empty box with a grey background.

To leave most other fields greyed out, leave them blank.
