How Notify uses NoteMaker

For information on NoteMaker: See What is MonTel NoteMaker.

MonTel note maker interacts with NoteMaker in a similar fashion to MonTel for Windows (toolbar). Firstly, if Activate 'MonTel NoteMaker' is checked or on (see the Notify Right Click Menu or Montel Background Options) then an Open NoteMaker window will transfer information to the pop-up either when the next call record is selected, or from the next pop-up. This can be set by checking NoteMaker Auto Transfer On Pop-up in the background options form.

Normally NoteMaker erases Notes ones they have been transferred. To keep notes, your can selected Keep Note In NoteMaker After Transfer.

To make sure that NoteMaker is active when you start up Notify or MonTel make sure that Show 'MonTel NoteMaker' on start is selected.

You can change the action of a left click in Notify. Normally, a left click on the notify Icon will show the last call record made in the Info Box. You can in stead elect to have it start up NoteMaker, ready for the next call record pop up by checking Notify Click Pops Up NoteMaker. Notify will only pop-up NoteMaker if NoteMaker is also made active. So selecting Notify Click Pops Up NoteMaker you will also make NoteMaker Active, which will be reflected in the menus and options. However, de-activating Notify Click Pops Up NoteMaker will not de-activate NoteMaker. Notify Click Pops Up NoteMaker will be turned off or unchecked if NoteMaker is made no longer active by the menu items.

All of these options are common for both MonTel and Notify where applicable, and are stored in the MonTel.INI file, in the Windows directory.
