Creating the PABX.INI file

By default MonTel will fill in the name of the computer and the domain and current user information, and will default to MS SQL Server 2005 Express. If the MonTel services (and they can all be run on different machines if required) then the default should be changed here. Likewise the the default service account, which is almost certainly wrong, should be changed to the right user name.

Typically a user is created to run the MonTel services, such a "Montel", since this user can be given the just the right security levels. It is important that this is a user who is both a network and local user on the computer on which the services are being installed. This user will need to be granted local run as a service permission and also permission to access the network.

All the fields will need to be filed before you can continue.

MonTel will create by default a Serial Port connection for the PABX driver that you select. If the communications method is different, you will need to change that later in EdIni32.

MonTel can link, meaning export and import from a number of different accounting or PAM systems. Additional systems can be requested from Netwiz support, as can additional PABX drivers.
