Client (MonTel for Windows)

  • The client modules are fully featured Windows applications that have the ability to store additional user information about a call and link it to contact and client information. Through these features the MonTel for Windows User application has the ability to track phone calls and to disburse or charge phone calls to a client code in a billing system.
  • When a call is complete MonTel pops up the call record in a Dialogue Box, and prompts the user with call disbursement information, including potentially the client and matter.
  • New clients, job codes, internal phone extension numbers or call information can be entered on the fly, mostly with one click.
  • There is a system to track calls either by call, contact or client. A comprehensive relational database allows you to make notes about these calls (or contacts or clients) as well as charging time or disbursing costs against the Call Record and associating the charges with a client code.
  • Notes can be entered against a client or matter and shared. For example, the Accounts Department may notate that a company is late paying a bill. This information would be available to all employees who talk to the client.
  • MonTel for Windows includes reports on call records, using a combination of update information, duration, destination, date and time and the cost of the call. In addition there are utility programs, web reports, exception reports, an extension/telephone list and a call cost calculator.
  • Learn as you go: MonTel remembers job codes and associates these with incoming phone numbers then fills in these boxes as defaults for the user, absolutely minimising the need for typing.
  • MonTel has in-built error sensing, immediately italicising any information entered which looks incomplete or incorrect.
  • Receptionist Mode allows other disbursements (courier costs etc) to be entered. These then sync with the PMA.

Limitations

  • For outgoing calls, it is impossible to know exactly when the call was answered. Some inaccuracies are therefore unavoidable. This is true of all call accounting system.
