Getting Started with EdUser32

Full MonTel System Users:

If you are using the MonTel 32bit Client, all the correct files should be in the MonTel Application Directory, including a PABX.INI File and Edini32. You should NOT USE EdUser32 or EdMon32 as EdIni32 has all the functionally of both programs and more. Using EdUser32 or EdMon32 instead of EdIni32 will cause the loss of data in the PABX.INI file and may cause the MonTel System not to function correctly.

Monitor System Users (with out MonTel)

EdMon32.exe has the same features as EdUser32.exe, except that it has the additional ability to save a monitor format report or users and run a command. It also can edit and modify the settings required to use these extra features. If you are using Edit Monitor Users then a "Montel Application Directory" should still be created, in which EdMon32.exe (and a PABX.INI file) are required, and may also contain other applications such as TZUtil or Telephone Extension List (Ext32) .

Users will only need read access if you are also using Telephone Extension List (Ext32) .

Telephone Extension List (with out MonTel)

If you are installing Telephone Extension List (Ext32) for the first time you need to make sure that you have copied these files to the MonTel Application Directory :

  • Ext32.exe
  • Ext32.hlp
  • Eduser32.exe
  • Eduser32.hlp
  • Setext32.exe

And that users have read only access, and you (as administrator) have both read and write access.

If there is not an existing PABX.INI file, you will need to create one from scratch. This can be done inside EdUser32, or you can copy the sample PABX.INI file from the sample sub directory.
